My experience with Yahoo’s diverse projects allowed me to master the intricacies of creating efficient data pipelines and developing robust data science methodologies. Immersive Composer
Immersive Composer is a platform designed to facilitate the creation of immersive 3D and augmented reality (AR) experiences, which can be published across Yahoo sites or native applications using the Immersive SDK. It has played a crucial role in producing cutting-edge advertising and editorial content for Verizon Media and Yahoo, including the groundbreaking series of Automotive AR advertisements.
In my role, I was responsible for developing a key component of the Composer platform: the advanced Lighting and Look features. This involved designing lighting rigs optimized for mobile devices (Android and iOS) to enhance the rendering quality and visual appeal of user-provided 3D models.

In addition to enhancing the overall aesthetic and user experience, I conducted comprehensive research and developed multiple presentation modes for 3D models. This attention to detail includes refining elements such as the vehicle’s integration and appearance within augmented reality (AR) experiences, ensuring every aspect contributes to a superior product.

All of this work culminated in the practical implementation of technology that enabled the first generation of augmented reality automotive advertisements to be published directly by users.

Beyond the accolades, what truly astonishes me is the sheer magnitude of personal development during my four point five year stint. From a 3D and VFX artist, I emerged as an experienced Houdini & Unreal Engine engineer, Data scientist, Python/Three.js developer, and above all, a skilled problem-solver.
Now, that’s something I take pride in.
